Traditional drum roasters typically generate 80% of the total carbon emissions across the entire supply chain for each kilogram of coffee sold.
To illustrate, 1 tonne of drum roasted coffee results in nearly 3 tonnes of carbon emissions from farm to cup.
In contrast, using a modern convection roaster allows us to capture emissions during the roasting process, significantly impacting the entire supply chain. This approach alone prevents hundreds of tonnes of emissions from entering the atmosphere each year.
