A café, restaurant, and cocktail bar inspired by the realms of Wednesday Addams, Stranger Things,
Beetlejuice and other horror films and characters is opening in Birmingham city centre later this summer.
Called Merlin’s, it is the brainchild of horror loving couple Martin Fox and Ella Tuta, who are aiming to create an immersive horror-themed venue like no other in the city.
Located at Martineau Place on Corporation Street, the venue will have a family-friendly ground floor café and restaurant serving a diverse fantasy and horror themed menu while the first-floor bar and cocktail lounge will provide a more adult focused experience, becoming an over-18s only space after 6pm.
Interior design elements will include themed decorations, animatronics, ambient lighting, and interactive elements to bring the experience to life.
“Merlin’s is more than just a place to eat and drink; it’s a spine-tingling experience that will leave you wanting more”
says Fox
“We wanted to create a venue that transports our guests into a world of fantasy and horror, where every visit is filled with excitement and intrigue. From our unique themed menu offerings to our creatively chilling themed décor, every detail at Merlin’s has been carefully crafted to provide a positively horrifying experience.”
continues Fox.
Merlin’s is scheduled to open on 3 August, 2024.
